Waiatarua Apartments is a premium residential development in Remuera comprising 330 apartments, with completion scheduled for 2027. Delivered under a design and build model, the project required an HVAC solution that aligned with the client’s vision for innovation, cost-efficiency, reliability, and long-term maintainability.

Our scope includes the design, coordination, and installation of fresh air ventilation systems, bathroom extract ventilation, and individual heat pump systems for every apartment. Through our ongoing relationship with Simplicity Living, we have been able to continuously identify and implement project efficiencies, refining system design and delivery methodologies to achieve practical, cost-effective outcomes across the development.

The ventilation systems have been designed to provide consistent fresh air distribution and effective moisture removal throughout the apartments, supporting healthy and comfortable living environments. Individual heat pump systems have been selected to deliver energy-efficient heating and cooling while maintaining ease of servicing and long-term durability.

Close coordination with architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, and fire services has been essential to integrating systems within restricted ceiling spaces and maintaining programme targets.
